I have a new image that has come into my mind and is staying there.
I seldom think in images, yet this one is sticking with me and I'm
watching it in my head, seeing if it will flesh itself out over
time. The image is of a man, tall and thin and young, and drawn
in a slightly elongated way to look taller and thinner. He looks
like a figure on a Tarot card; he is an archetype. He doesn't wear
tights; he wears long flowing trousers. And his shirt is a turtleneck,
I think. I'm not sure about the neckline. But the striking thing
is that it has one long sleeve and one short. His right arm is
covered to the wrist in a sleeve, and his left arm is exposed,
reaching out palm up even as his torso leans back a bit. I cannot
tell if he is reaching out for something he needs or reaching out
to offer something to someone else. The left sleeve comes barely
over the curve of his shoulder, and his muscle and bone is clearly
visible under the skin. This isn't a tear in the shirt; it was
designed and tailored that way.
He is not barefoot, but I can't see his footwear yet.
I haven't seen yet what is around him. He has an animal of some
kind, a bird, perhaps an owl. But that may change. He might not
even know the owl is there. And he is leaning against something,
but I can't yet see what it is.
