From the small pleasures bin: the meaning of 'bin'
As a tangential small pleasure, I mean the word "bin" there in the US
sense of a largish often metal box from which one can select miscellaneous
merchandise, not in the UK sense of the place where one puts things that
are to be hauled away and put in landfills or wherever.
Grasping different meanings of words is a personal favorite among
small pleasures.
